Year-end with Lions at Lion and Safari Park

September 4, 2019, Author: bianca

Located in the UNESCO world heritage site, the Cradle of Humankind, Lion & Safari Park poses as the perfect year-end function venue for Heritage Month and beyond.

Nestled amongst the foothills of the magnificent Magalies Mountains, Lion & Safari park is a mere 45-minute drive from Pretoria – the perfect breakaway option for either business or pleasure.

Speaking of business, the Lion & Safari Park turns every occasion or celebration into something unique with several function venues to choose from. The main function venue comes with its own private kitchen, bar and boma and can cater for up to 200 guests. They also offer a more private setting, with two upper mezzanine areas with stunning views, ideal for groups of up to 50 people. They can also go big with a soccer field that can cater for large exhibitions and events.

The catering team at Lion & Safari is flexible with options and tailored menus are their forte. Working under Chef Roushdeen Gafoor, they offer anything from canapes to buffet meals and a la carte options. They also have Halaal options available.

Guests are not limited to official function venues at Lion & Safari Park, though. The two on-site restaurants – Bull ’n Buck and Wetlands – both also often cater for functions and events. The Bull ’n Buck is a grill house providing a premier dining experience with a superb wine list and delicious menu options, including venison as their speciality dish which compliments our true African heritage. The Wetlands Restaurant is perfect for a quick meal whilst enjoying the view of antelope grazing a few metres away.

In addition to the fine venue, food and wine options available at Lion & Safari Park, they also secure live entertainment like Zulu dancing and marimba bands, adding to an already memorable African experience.

If not visiting for your year-end function, keep Lion & Safari Park in mind for your next teambuilding activity. A leisurely 9km river raft on the Crocodile River with a team of trained instructors makes for a great excursion for the adventurous.
