Restaurant hotspots in lively Lynnwood

January 9, 2019, Author: Danita Pilley

Lynnwood is a well-developed, tranquil suburb, lying to the east of Pretoria’s City Centre with tree-lined pavements and large, graceful homes. When it was first established, back in the 1960’s, it was considered the most eastern suburb of Pretoria, but the city has since expanded eastwards and southwards quite considerably. Along with Brooklyn and Menlo Park, Lynnwood is considered part of the “Old East” and boasts some of the city’s most high-end residential properties.

Apart from being both a residential and business hub within Pretoria, Lynnwood is also home to Loftus Versfeld, the iconic stadium which is home to the Blue Bulls and a frequent home ground for the Springbok’s international matches – making it a popular tourist destination as well.

It provides close access to the CSIR, one of the leading scientific and technology research and development organisations in Africa, as well as to the University of Pretoria and UNISA – making it an ideal location for students. The Atterbury theatre provides entertainment for the culturally-inclined and the emergence of a number of new retail developments has created  a significantly wider selection of restaurants and entertainment options for those who appreciate dining, nightlife and leisure activities.

LeSi Restaurant

LeSi Restaurant is situated at Casa Toscana – making it a perfect inclusion for romantic weekends away and business trips. The restaurant offers a theatrical musical experience through the use of performing waiters – all upcoming musical talent – ensuring the meal is a memorable one. For romantic getaways, the restaurant also offers intimate settings in private, secluded gazebos – and can even arrange spa packages prior to dinner as a cherry on top if you’re looking for the ultimate spoil.
