Lagom Café and Theatre Bistro’s aim is to recreate their favourite experiences from around the world for their customers. The Montoya Spanish Dance Academy and Theatre promotes the art of Spanish dance and keeps this tradition alive in Pretoria. No wonder they will be collaborating in July, hosting the Montoya Spanish Dance Theatre Show and Dinner – an absolute must, HP!

Rigoletto

This 3-act opera is sure to keep your eyes nailed to the stage. Cruel jester by day and loving father by night, Rigoletto’s efforts to keep his daughter hidden away are in vain and the duke finds and seduces her. Her father hires an assassin, but a curse cripples his plan. Stars of the opera enthusiastically portray Verdi’s emblematic characters.

6th Unisa National Piano Competition

The sixth Unisa International Piano Competition is taking place this month and we cannot wait to see what these talented pianists have up their sleeves! There will be a Jazz category, as well as the traditional Classical category. The highlight of the event will be on 26 July when the young pianists get to perform with some of SA’s best musicians.

When: 19 – 26 July

Where: ZK Matthews Great Hall at Unisa’s Muckleneuk Campus

Cost: From R60 for the first 3 rounds of the Jazz category to R230 at the final event
