The producers of Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast are bringing another Disney favourite to the stage at Atterbury Theatre in July. The cast includes 45 performers that will take young and old on a journey of adventure and fantasy with toe-tapping music, witty dialogue and brilliantly designed costumes.

Miguel de Sampaio plays Aladdin, who struggles to accept his mediocre lifestyle and who wants to rise above his situation. An encounter with Prinses Jasmin, played by the pretty Eldirè Strauss, leads to him being captured and imprisoned. In return for his release, Aladdin is commanded to retrieve and object from the Cave of Wonders by none other than the evil Zahar. Matthew Otto (who played Gaston in Beauty and the Beast) will be playing Genie in this production.

Aladdin will be staged at Atterbury Theatre from 4 to 13 July with matinee performances on Fridays and Saturdays. Ticket prices range from R140 to R160 per person and can be bought online at
